Trends Are Still Active in Graduation Attire
Young teens live their lives pertaining to the standards of parents and professors. It is one never imagined in comparison to the prior generation. The young generation of today has seemingly accomplished much more, and has certain “advancements.” With the new and new developments, it is normal that the generation and trends change accordingly. New trends fluctuate with every passing year, presenting a present-day appearance gown & cap that differs slightly for commencement. Teens are reluctant to accept and strive for change with something so traditional and customary, that they thereby enhance their personal look instead.
But in all this could be said that regalia is just an “old” trend and maintain its appearance. It seems rather that the problem of youth is the desire to resemble anything as the same and be in uniform to older family members, especially since it is the age when each of them has a desire to prove to be more like it. Put simply, each generation has looked funny in caps for graduation and laugh at expense of each other. How do they react differently?
They want to stand out and are willing to challenges such as wearing items not allowed in the regular school year, in all ways try to prove their uniqueness and eccentric. Of course, not all are the same and not all choose to bow out on wearing uniforms (for many education institutions, it is still required dress). For some of them it’s something they have waited for twelve years, and who are eager to be educated further. For others, it is still a tedious act, which would rather be skipped. We can’t guarantee that two children will be alike. Ever.
Most seniors simply do not care how he or she may look to be awarded a diploma. It’s a decision, rather, to purchase a new gown or borrow an old dress and hat. They have no ideas about their prices and agree with the idea of buying them for cheap money. Cheap graduation robes are for them normal and they do not add to it any cultural significance. A bit are disappointed because of the obligations, simply must be covered that day. Eccentric hair must also be covered to maintain an official and classic look.
It may on one hand nice and official, but on the other side kills the uniqueness and creativity of individuals. Of course the uniform for graduation is not a way to demonstrate creativity, but uniformity is simply something that makes us like alike in our appearance - to not segregate our class in regard to gender, race, sexuality or level of honors. Wearing the uniform is a kind of commitment that creates in our mind and thus blocks the counter effect and the desire not to wear.
The fact that something we have to do automatically dissuades us from obligation. That’s why you would it should not be left to the younger graduates to determine our manner of dress. Could you imagine the result?
