College Diplomas for a Healthy and Happy Life

It is clear that people with college diplomas have more opportunities to make a lot of money compared to people who only have high school diplomas; however, brand new research also shows that holders of college diplomas and their families are, in general, healthier and happier compared to those who only hold high school diplomas.
The overall money equation is simple math. People with college diplomas make twice as much every year compared to people with high school diplomas. Through average lifetimes of workers, this could add up to millions of dollars when it comes to earning power. People with master’s degrees could make three times as much money, while those with doctorate could bring in up to four times as much in income as people with high school diplomas.
However, the intangible value of college diplomas has been debated widely and has been in doubt. Nowadays, research has shown a remarkable list of life quality advantages which accrue to those who hold college diplomas versus the high school counterparts.
This list comes with better health care access, better health and dietary practices, and longer life spans. This would mean better health overall. However, this list also comes with stuff that makes regular people happier. This stuff includes better online access, greater live performance attendance, greater artistic activities and leisure participation and more purchases of books.
College diplomas also make for better citizens. College graduates are less dependent on assistance from the government, lower criminal activity levels and incarceration, better leadership and community service, as well as more volunteer work. Would you rather live next to somebody with a college diploma or a high school diploma?
Knowledge is power and not all college graduates are saint, just as not all people with only high school diplomas are sinners. However, it seems that people with more knowledge tend to do less society damage on average and even contribute much more. You simply have to take a look at the societies with banned education to see the results.
One other intangible yet true impact of college diplomas would be on the kids of people who have finished programs of college degrees. The minute doors are opened, they tend to follow through, making their lives better, as well as those of their children. Just the way welfare takes children down, education tends to raise them higher.
Not everybody has the means to go to college for various reasons, mostly related to money. But each year, more barriers fall and more students make it. With our knowledge, we could build a better country if everyone could get a college education.
